Song of Horror چیزی نیست که بخواهید تجربه‌اش کنید. حتی اگر ایرادات فنی وجود نداشتند، باز هم این عنوان محتوای خاصی برای ارائه ندارد و بیشتر مثل یک رفع تکلیف از طرف چند دانشجوی بی حوصله است. بازی در مهم‌ترین هدف خود که ترسناندن مخاطب است شکست می‌خورد و در کنار این، نشان می‌دهد که دیگر استفاده از فرمول‌های تکراری جوابگو نیستند و باید به فکر ایده‌های خلاقانه‌تر، بهتر، و ترسناک‌تر بود.
