Ascent بازی درهمی است. بازی هرچند زیبا است و از مبارزات به شدت خوبی بهره می‌برد، اما ایرادات زیادی هم‌چون داستان به شدت ضعیف، نمودار سختی نامتعادل و راه رفتن‌های طولانی و عذاب‌آور را نیز شامل می‌شود. Ascent در بهترین حالت اثری است متوسط که می‌تواند برای طرفداران این سبک آن هم در تخفیف انتخاب مناسبی باشد. البته برای دارندگان Game Pass که امکان تجربه‌ی بازی از روز اول را دارند، Ascent می‌تواند گزینه‌ی مناسبی برای وقت‌کشی باشد.
