به گزارش گیمین‌گرویتی، سازندگان بازی Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew یعنی استدیوی Mimimi Games اعلام کرد این بازی در تاریخ 17 آگوست ( 26 مرداد) برای پلتفورم‌های PS5 و Xbox Series X/S علاوه بر PC منتشر می‌شود. این عنوان که در دوران طلایی دزدادن دریایی اتفاق می‌افتد دارای المان‌های ماورایی نیز بوده و در سبک مخفی‌کاری با دوربین از بالا است.  استدیوی Mimimi Games پیش از این نیز سابقه ساخت این‌چنین بازی‌هایی مانند Desperados 3 یا Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun را دارد و در این سبک نیز موفق عمل کرده است.

با اعلام استدیوی دموی بازی در تاری 19 جوئن (29 خرداد) عرضه شده و به مدت یک هفته تا 26 جوئن (5 تیر) طی Steam Next Fest قابل بازی است. در ماه می (اردیبهشت) تریلری از Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew به نمایش درآمد که درمورد یکی از بزرگترین جزیره‌های بازی به نام Iron Bay بود گفته شد که این جزیره برای گروه Inquisition که نقش دشمنان بازی را دارند، هچون کوره‌ای سوزان است.
